September 27, I received an invite for an intimate dinner with other Food Bloggers at Victoria Court in Hill Crest, Pasig City. This is to witness the launching of Chef Victoria’s new menu. With Chef Victoria's tag line "We Serve Sexy", who would not be excited to taste the new unique dishes that they will offer. The event was held at the panorama suite in their Cirque-themed room. It was my first time to visit Victoria, and I was amazed by the room. You wouldn't believe it was just a room located in Pasig. So classic! As if you were really in a Cirque. I learned that normally private parties are held there and that every room has its unique style. Star wars themed room is there too. Oh yes it is! Tables were arrange as if yo were inside a carousel. Believe me, it was surreal! And presenting the star of the night... Their newest menu!!! PASTA EGG-SPLOSION Cream white pasta with a twist. Who would have thought a white sauce pasta and salted-egg will blend well. This one's my favourite! NAUGHTY AND NICE PASTA Any guess why it is called that way? hmmm.... This is an aphrodisiac meal which can lead to your naughty experience at Victoria Court. This pasta is made of chocolate combined with bacons. LEGENDARY CRISPY PATA Of all the Crispy Pata's i've tried, I guess this is one of the best! It has the right crisp, not hard to chew. hahaha! Ohhh and the sauce! it's different from the others, adding a different delicious taste. This made VC's Crispy pata unique from the others. SPICY AND CLASSIC CHICKEN PLATTER Both are delicious, I can say that the spicy chicken is suitable for those who want's to eat just a little spicy while the classic is perfectly marinated and blends well with the gravy sauce. Perfect for those who don't want to try the spicy one. PINAKBET CON LECHE What I love about the pinakbet is that the vegetables are not overcooked. The crunchiness of the veggies are still there, making it more satisfying to eat. The pork is crunchy as well, with its name Lechon over it makes you taste a lechon kawali pork. Two-in-one dish. Perfect for a meal, isn't it? CAJUN FISH WITH TROPICAL SALSA The fish is perfectly marinated with cajun powder. The salsa made it more special.Their combination makes it taste much more different which will make your Victoria Court's experience more unforgettable. BREAKFAST IN BED PIZZA Not your ordinary breakfast meal can be this pizza. With the twist of having a sunny-side up egg, this tomato with basil thin-crust pizza is definitely a must-try. PANNACOTA FOR DESSERT There are three flavours to choose from Blueberry, Coffee and Green Tea Pannacotas. I love sweets that's why I tried all of it! I am a coffeeholic, but I must say that Green Tea is my favourite among the three.

Thyroid glands releases hormones that controls our metabolism, the way that our body uses energy. The thyroid also regulates the vital body functions such as breathing,menstrual cycles, heart rate, body weight, body temperature and more. The normal thyroid gland should be as follows: Weight: 15 - 25 grams Lenght: 4 - 6 cm (each lobe) Thickness: 1.3 - 1.8 cm Ishtmus: <4 - 5 mm How much Iodine do we need daily? Based on Dr. Nicodemus, we need 2 medium pcs. of crab; 1/2 cup of shelled kuhol; 1/2 cup of shelled hipon; 2 1/4 pcs. of pusit. Patients with hypothyroidism, or too little thyroid hormone, tend to have slower metabolism: they gain weight despite not eating much, move and speak slowly, feel tired and have depressed thoughts, cannot tolerate cold, and have irregular menstrual periods. On the other hand, patients with hyperthyroidism, or too much thyroid hormone, will have hyperactive metabolism: they lose weight despite having good appetite, have heart palpitations, irritable thoughts and insomnia, have sweating and heat intolerance, and can have tremors in their hands. There are a lot of people who may have thyroid disorders, but aren’t even aware until it is too late. It is important to have one’s thyroid checked as early as possible, especially if there is family history of the disease, or during pregnancy.
