2015 marks the 30th year of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB). To kick off the celebration of its anniversary, MTRCB formally launched its new infomercial on 23 February 2015 at 2:00 p.m., MTRCB Building. Directed by renowned film and television director Jose Javier “Joey” Reyes, Jr., DGPI and conceptualized by Mr. Erlito “Lilit” Reyes, the infomercial features actors-spouses Ryan and Judy Ann Agoncillo in a typical morning situation at home. In such scene, their depicted child picks up a word from a TV feature and asks the elders in the house what it means. The infomercial aims to challenge parents and responsible adults to be aware of the media content our children are exposed to, and to be mindful of the MTRCB’s classification ratings. Parents are also reminded that the primary duty in guiding their children as to the media the latter see still rests in them. Details of the infomercial were discussed by Director Joey Reyes, Ryan and Judy Ann Agoncillo, Lilit Reyes and MTRCB Board Members Bibeth Orteza and Manet Dayrit, the latter being Co-Chairpersons of the Infomercial Committee. The launch was culminated by the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the TV Networks and theater operators to ensure showing of the infomercial and to continuously empower the general public towards discerning viewership and thus, among other objectives, inform parents as to the media and entertainment their children may see. The infomercial will be aired in all television networks and theaters nationwide starting 25 February 2015. Experience the Extreme Press Conference and Tour As the City of Pines welcomes the summer season, Tree Top Adventure will hold a press conference and media tour on March 14, 2015 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Tree Top Adventure Baguio Camp John Hay, Baguio City. The press conference aims to inform the public that if they want to experience the extreme, they might want to try out the activities at Tree Top Adventure. Tree Top Adventure offers four unique outdoor activities divided into slow and fast paced activities. One slow paced activity is the Canopy and Funicular which is similar to the concept of a cable car, but, you’ll be seated on cable chairs in which you’ll be transferring from one station to another until you complete all eight stations. If you prefer to just walk around the area and fill your eyes with spectacular view, you could avail the Trekking and Skywalk. For the fast paced activities, Tree Top offers the Tree Drop, Silver Surfer and Superman. Tree Drop is the most extreme activity that Tree Top offers in which you’ll be suspended 60 feet above the ground, mission impossible style, and you’ll be falling as fast as two to three seconds. Superman, as the name implies, is a horizontal motorized zipline in which you’ll be flying back and forth, Superman style. Silver Surfer is a diagonal zipline in which you’ll be standing on a specialized platform and you’ll be gliding up and down for three cycles. Tree Top Adventure’s another branch, located at JEST Area Upper Mau Cubi Point, Subic Bay Freeport Zone, will also hold another press conference and ribbon cutting event on March 21, 2015 after the success of its first press conference held last February 21, 2015. Whether you want to feel the breeze, slow down, be inspired with the view or experience heart pounding, adrenaline rush quenching activities, Tree Top Adventure has it all. On February 21, 2015, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Tree Top Adventure will hold its very 1st press conference and media tour in which over twenty participants from the TV, online, radio and print industries will attend.
The program will be graced by Tree Top Adventure’s CEO Ms. Ma. Camille O. Montejo. A short program will be presented with a question and answer portion will take place first before proceeding with the tour in which the participants will try all the rides. They would also be trying the only motorized team building facilities in the Philippines. Tree Top Adventure features six activities: two slow paced and four fast paced activities. One slow paced activity is the Trekking adventure in which you’ll be toured within the area. The tour guide will be introducing local plants and trees and share interesting facts about them. If one wants to see the forest and appreciate nature from the top of the trees, they could try the Canopy ride. The entire ride has a hanging bridge and five stations which can carry three persons at a time in which you’ll be transferring from one tree to another. For heart pounding activities, one might want to try the Superman Ride, a horizontal motorized zipline in which you’ll be soaring back and forth in less than a minute. Another activity you could try is the parachute fall in which you’ll be going upwards, slowly, and when you’re 75 feet above the ground, you’ll suddenly fall. If you literally want to surf in the air, you could try the Silver Surfer, an inclined zipline that swings you back and forth between two trees. If you want to experience the extreme, we recommend you the Tree Drop in which you’ll be suspended 60 feet above the ground, mission impossible style and you’ll be dropped in a matter of seconds only. Tree Top Adventure also offers the only motorized Team Building facilities in the Philippines in which participants would be challenged physically, mentally and even emotionally. Tree Top Adventure’s another branch, located at the Camp John Hay Baguio City, will also hold its press conference and media tour on March 14, 2015.
