It's been quite a while since we started and hey, we are already in our sixth year!
This year, we don't have so much time in preparing. All of us were busy in our works and other activities. Our schedules normally don't match but hey, we did it! Another successful event for Travolunteers. Our recipient is another elementary school. This time, we renovate the day care classroom and build a new classroom for the elementary students. Since we have limited budget. We only fixed two elementary classrooms. As the usual, we have our bags and some school supplies for the students. We prepared a small program. It's really nice to see the smiles in the children's face and their parents and teachers. They also performed for us. Even the parents did a dance number, how cool was that!

For 2015, the came up to the project to make a computer laboratory for an elementary school in Narra, Palawan.
Recepient was Maranan Elementary School. The experience was very touching. The students and parents helped us during the set-up day before the actual event. Then the next day, we really didn't expect the way they welcomed us, all the children are already waiting for us and greeted us all with smiles and even gave us a welcome medals (was it a medal or a necklace? haha) Overall experience was indeed a lot of fun. The children cooperate well in the games we prepared and the teachers really showed their willingness to learn during the knowledge sharing we did about Microsoft A fulfilling experience knowing that the event was a success. I remembered the principal mentioned that she thought that we were crazy people during the start, she just didn't expected that someone unknown to them will contact her telling that some people wanted to give something for their school. |
